About this ebook

After her restaurant in Chicago was burned down, Taryn decided to make the move and follow her best friend, Evie, to Summer Lake. She wasn't expecting that Dalton, aka The Grouch, would be moving there, too.

He might have been the one who rescued her from Chicago, but he still gets on her last nerve – she has no time for or patience with big, bossy. She tries to avoid him as much as she can, and she knows that he does the same with her, but they keep running into each other

When friends set her up on a date with another guy, she finally has to admit that bickering with Dalton is more enjoyable than going out with anyone else.

During his career as a Navy SEAL and later his work in security and protection services, Dalton's seen and done more than most men ever will. He's faced down threats both foreign and domestic, but he's never had to face anything like Taryn before.

The woman is a spitfire. Between her smart mouth and her bad attitude, she drives him nuts. He should stay out of her way. He knows it, but he just can't do it. It seems that the two of them can't get through a week without bickering and fighting.

When Taryn tells him that she might have to leave Summer Lake, Dalton has to admit that there’s attraction mixed in with his irritation – and he doesn’t want her to go. They still fight about almost everything until a late-night walk home from The Boathouse proves that you just can't fight the moonlight.

Get your copy of this sweet n steamy, over-fifties romance today to see if they can stop fighting long enough for Dalton to convince her to stay.

This is the ninth book in this incredible series, and this is Dalton and Taryn’s journey. Taryn moved to Summer Lake when her restaurant burnt down, and that is where her best friend is, while Dalton has moved there as well. These two have danced around each other for some time, and it is when Dalton is looking after his best friend’s ex-service dog, that they begin to bond. This is a well written story which is beautifully written, and is filled with bickering, witty banter, friendships, emotio

I can't get enough of SJ McCoy's books and this one doesn't disappoint. I absolutely loved Dalton and Taryn’s story. Neither of them were looking for love but it slipped in and surprised them. They go from arguing to much more all with the help of Echo, a dog he is keeping for a former teammate. I think Echo may be my favorite character in the story. A captivating read that I read straight through

Another great story by SJ. I knew these two would be great together if they could just open their eyes. Luckily Echo, a former canine teammate of Dalton's, comes to stay with him for a little while and exposes his warmer side to Taryn.

About the author

Hi, I'm SJ, a coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)
