About the author

Cao Shunqing is Emeritus Professor and Academic Dean of the College of Literature and Journalism, Sichuan University, China, and a professor at Beijing Normal University, China. He is also an academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. His publications include The Comparison of Chinese and Western Poetics (1988), A Comparative History of World Literature: An Evolution (2001), and The Variation Theory of Comparative Literature (2013).

Theo D’haen is Emeritus Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Leuven, Belgium, and Emeritus Professor of English Literature at Leiden University, the Netherlands. He has authored The Concise Routledge History of World Literature (2012) and World Literature in an Age of Geopolitics (2021), and co-edited The Routledge Companion to World Literature, Second Edition (2022).

Yang Qing is an associate researcher at Sichuan University, China, the editor of Cultural Studies and Literary Theory, and Deputy Secretary General of the Sichuan Comparative Literature Association. She has published articles in such journals as Cultura: International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology, Neohelicon, and Interdisciplinary Studies of Literature.

Zhai Lu is a PhD candidate in comparative literature and world literature at Sichuan University, China. She has published papers in Neohelicon and Cultura: International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology.

Zhou Shu is a teacher at Sichuan Conservatory of Music, China. Her research areas are related to music composition theory and the study of musical art.

Li Shen is a PhD candidate at the College of Literature and Journalism of Sichuan University, China. His research areas are related to the study of Japanese literature.

Xia Tian is a PhD candidate at the College of Literature and Journalism of Sichuan University, China. Her research areas are related to comparative literature.
