About this ebook

She doesn't trust him.

Zoe Costas is a security specialist. Her rather dubious family runs an Atlantic City spa that’s just this side of legit. When charming Ryan Baldwin shows up claiming to be related to Sam, the girl Zoe’s family is about to adopt, Zoe isn’t inclined to trust his handsome face.

But he’s here to stay.

Ryan’s search for his missing sister has led him to news of her death, and to a niece he’s never met. He’s from the famously rich and snooty Boston Baldwins — nothing like Zoe’s eccentric family from Jersey. But someone else has also tracked Sam down — someone who never wanted his niece to be found.

Ryan is determined to protect Sam and find out what really happened to his sister. And Zoe is just the woman to help him do it. Neither expects they might find love in the process.

This was an enjoyable read. It's the second book in the series. I love Zoe's quirky family. They may be unorthodox, but you can feel the closeness and love they have. The Costas think everything is going as planned for making Sam legally part of their family, but Sam's uncle shows up throwing a wrench into their plans. Then let the fun begin. Zoe and Ryan seem as opposite as you can get, but that doesn't stop sparks from flying when these two are together. They have a mystery to solve regarding Sam and they must work together if they're going to get any answers. I really liked the characters in this book. They were engaging.

This is book 2 in the Costas Sisters series and it features Zoe, Ryan and Sam. I love Zoe! She likes to live her life HER way, no matter what anyone says. Luckily her family is the Costas. As far as her and Ryan, all the right words and actions were there but I failed to feel the connection until much, much later in the story. My heart broke for all Sam had been through. She’s such a wonderful girl and I liked the special way she tested people. Again, not my favorite by this author but it is a highly entertaining story with fantastic characters.

4.25⭐ Summer of Love is the concluding story in Carly Phillips Costas Sisters Duet, and it drew me in from the very first page. Thanks to the delightful, large and eccentric Costas family, and Samantha, who the family is currently fostering and hopes to soon adopt. That is until her uncle Ryan turns up ready to make a claim and return Sam to Boston and his staid strait-laced family. But Zoe Costas is determined not to let that happen. Yet every time she is near Ryan the sparks fly, and they are soon struggling to keep their hands off each other. And so with a little mystery, plenty of laughs, and a capuchin monkey that regularly moons people, this really was a joyous, sweet and entertaining story. That I would happily recommend to others. **I was kindly provided with a free copy of Summer of Love via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review**
