The beginning of the story surprised me with its violence, but then it should have been expected as the story is of a mobster, his daughter, her lifeguard, and the love the two find within that world. The author has given readers a picture of life within such a world, then shows us what happens when finding love within this environment can become. For when they find love, after a life of misery, it becomes a fervent need to escape and live their lives filled with each other and peace. If you want to read a story filled with danger and passionate love, then I highly recommend you read this story. Author Carmen Falcone never lets her readers down.
