This is a good addition to the "Ice Age Shifters" series. This one is about Arvik, an agent for the Wizard Imperium and secret shifter, and Skyla, a dire wolf. Both are on a mission to take down the illegal auction. This is a fast paced and captivating read with strong and likable characters. The plot is intriguing and develops nicely. I so enjoyed a good paranormal shifter romance. This one is full of magic, suspense, action, passion and more.

This was another great read in this series. This book is quite eventful and story driven with lot of things happening. I liked how plot lines that got started in previous books were continued here and previous main characters make an appearance. The pacing did feel a bit off at times and the summary parts got me out of the story and lacked the emotional touch they could have because the events were summarized instead of played out. I also had a bit of trouble remembering who was who from the side characters as there are so many of them and we hardly know anything about them, with the exception of recurring characters. I did like Rayne and Arvik, they were great to read about and made for a great couple. I would’ve liked to read a bit more about them and their romance. The part about Arvik’s people was one of my favorite parts, it was interesting to learn more about these people and their culture with the songs.

Escape, then War, THEN Mate Rayne nearly dies while under cover, but is healed by Arvik, who is also undercover. They’re both motivated to take down the shifter slavery ring and end the practice for good, but war details that plan. There’s so much going on in this book, including reunions, mystic shifters species, and, of course, magic. Rayne and Arvick have a tough road ahead to find their happiness together, but it was so wonderful when they did. A truly fantastic read.
