Julke and Zade have been imprisoned in the mines of Nova Nine, both set-up and falsely captured. Escape seems unlikely, but with the help of the prisoner network and the griffins, maybe they can make it. I loved the adventure and unique settings and characters in this story - Carol Van Natta does a fantastic job of blending hard science fiction with heart.

I really enjoyed this story. While it is definitely a scifi story, it was also a romance story that was clean and fun to read. I loved the plot, characters, and the griffins. I really had to see how Julke and Zade would get out of the mines they were stuck in as prisoners and really had to see what secrets they would discover as they came up with a plan to break everyone out. I laughed and sighed and was entertained throughout it all.
