This one was a disappointment. The "hero" is such a jerk to the heroine, she seems like an idiot for caring about him when he's shown her nothing but contempt.

I usually love Carole Mortimer's writing but this book isn't quite as good as her normal writing. I would give it 3.5 stars.

Carole Mortimer was born in England, the youngest of three children. She began writing in 1978, and has now written over one hundred and seventy books for Harlequin Mills and Boon®. Carole has six sons, Matthew, Joshua, Timothy, Michael, David and Peter.
