I had never forgotten how this classic, timeless, and endearing tale - that had never gotten old. I remember first purchasing this paperback book when it had been on one of the front displays in a Target department store. This story starts out as Althea, who is a nobody. She receives no calls; is socially inept, has no friends,is a loner, lonely,an intervert, and painfully shy. Has no one to pay attention to her, doesn't talk to anyone, and never seems to fit in anywhere. In the first days of simply being an American teenager in high school ; it's never easy. And neither is an ordinary girl with demure features and a ordinary smile, with a ordinary petite figure. With.......an ordinary personality.....if she had one.. Until one day,she encounters something eerily seemingly sinsiter... something eerily familiar-who can eerily be in a sixth sense of making her wishes come true. I remember reading that book when I was younger. Unforgettable. I was a huge loner, too. Had been just like Althea.
