Cat On Strat Guitar Scales

Complete Guitar Scales Guide For Both Teachers And Students

Playing or teaching guitar involves 6 basic fundamentals:

1) Getting started (learning names and definitions)

2) Scales (playing single notes)

3) Chords (playing multiple notes)

4) Techniques (complex methods for playing scales and chords)

5) Reading music (how to read the “code” of music)

6) Writing music (how to write the “code” of music).

By dividing guitar theory this way the student or teacher can digest more clearly the scope of all that they need to learn or teach. This book is designed to clear up the confusion of guitar theory and remove any boring aspects, all the while giving insightful knowledge of music and the technique of playing guitar. When finished the guitarist should have all the knowledge needed to develop their own style, jam with other musicians while knowing exactly what is going on theoretically, and be able to compose complex music in rock, blues, jazz, pop, folk and heavy metal. Easy concise exercises help the student develop the skills to execute the licks and passages needed to express oneself and help any teacher using this as a teachers guide to layout clear concise goals and objectives.

This guide focuses on the Second fundamental "Scales" Here you will find an in-depth look at scales and their origins with dozens of easy to read scale charts and complete sets of each scale studied.

In the end you will find here a user friendly, all inclusive method on playing or teaching the guitar scales. I have had much success with this approach over the years with all my students both young and old. Now is your chance to learn guitar scales the right way, easy, complete and frustration free use this guide to teach yourself or use as an all inclusive teachers reference guide.

À propos de l'auteur

BOOK AUTHOR BIO

David Moses has been playing guitar for over 25 years, first learning rock guitar from an old beat up Strat he found in the trash. A child of the 70's and 80's, he quickly got into Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen. He was taught Jazz/Fusion guitar during his Jr. High School Years by renowned jazz musician, John Hill.

David played in numerous bands, never playing covers, but instead sticking to a set of originals he wrote and performed with his band at the time (“Crossfire”). He was also influenced heavily by the blues styles of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton which molded him into a top notch improvisational guitar player. His favorite past time is freestyle jamming with his life long guitar buddies until the late hours of the night.

David has also scored the feature length independent film “The Traveler” with a 60 track landscape of classical music. He has been involved in numerous shorts and music videos lending his guitar talent and composing skills to each of theses projects.

David’s teaching style is based on infusing his knowledge of music theory into the teaching and learning of one's favorite contemporary songs. He has found that this approach lends itself to the most comprehensive and interesting lessons as students can jump into music right away and learn without even realizing they are learning all the while applying and learning music theory.

David enjoys teaching beginners all the way up to experts and has had previous students go on to see great success, such as David Holvig from "Rebecca St. James Band" and others, like Derek James, from (Derek James Band), both have toured the US and play arenas growing and learning from all they were taught and going far beyond to develop their own unique styles and talents.
