About this ebook

When a handsome stranger brings unexpected romance to her charmed life, will a sheltered Christian heiress fight the odds for a chance at true love?

Blessed from the moment of her birth, Faith Davenport is adored by everyone and has led a life guided by her charitable, Christian parents. At ease with her family's expectations and her own strength of belief, she finds joy in exploring the creative aspects of her Uncle Will's architecture business as his assistant.

Nico d'Amici is thrilled with the opportunity to apprentice to Will Travers, well-known for his practical and unique architectural designs, but discovers a deeper emotion when a friendship with Travers's kind, beautiful, and intelligent niece intensifies. Faith's best friend, her cousin Thomas, intervenes, but his efforts to keep them apart are nothing compared to accusations of theft that threaten not only the friendship between the three of them but Nico's very freedom.

Faith's charmed life is complicated by her romantic feelings for her uncle's apprentice, but will her family's interference and criminal accusations keep her and Nico apart, perhaps forever?

Faithful in Love is the uplifting first book in the Cliff Walk Cousins Christian historical romance series. If you like devoted families, meaningful relationships, and emotional love stories, you'll love Cecily K. Wolfe's hopeful romance.

Nico and Faith The story is a clean historical Christian-based romance tale. It will take place in Newport, Rhode Island and begin in 1906 to set up the tale and then pick it up in 1914. The story revolves around several wealthier families that are related. The cousins are very close, especially Thomas (adopted) and Faith. Both have been working with their Uncle Will Travers, who is an architect. A new coming, Nico, wants to help with the design his family wants for a new restaurant. The story's plot will have Nico d'Amici coming from Manhattan to Newport to oversee the family restaurant plans. Together, Will, Nico, Thomas, and Faith will all contribute input into the design plans. There is an instant chemistry between Nico and Faith—and Thomas has issues with that. "I don't want to cause any problems for your family. Family is the most important part of my own life, and I am sure it is in yours. I would not come between you and your nephew." I like the characters in the story; there is just enough family loyalty, angst, secrets, and determination to keep the pages turning. The tension between Thomas and Nico is an issue with Thomas, but it turns ugly eventually. Will sees the potential for Nico to apprenticeship and offers him that chance. A unique new skyscraper has been commissioned, and it must remain top secret—but something goes wrong—the plans don't make it to the right person—and Nico is accused. "The more of you off the streets, the better. You should have stayed in your own country." The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly of people. It was good to see that the families were willing to fight injustice when Nico was arrested and taken from Newport to Manhattan. Best of all was seeing Thomas and Faith working together to help. Sadly, not everyone is judged the same, especially by the police. But, in the end, truth and justice right the wrongs. "Sometimes the plan God has for us is better than we could ever expect." I love the characters' faith, how they all have strong Christian principles and aren't afraid to pray—have faith in God—and lend a hand to those in need. My one complaint about this story is the formatting that does not break between scenes that change, including different characters. You are reading and feel confused because it is a different location, day, or people in the next paragraph.

Outstanding book. This book is beyond excellent it just that good and it is so well-written it was a pure joy to read. The characters Thomas, Faith, and Nico were outstanding in fact the whole cast of characters were splendid. Set in the early 1900s America you have a book that incorporates the growth during that time. Nico is an apprentice to Will Travers here he will meet Faith and Thomas. Some serious challenges will face Nico and Faith and her family must decide how to meet those challenges. I loved the writing in this one it flowed and totally captivated me right from the start. This has to be one of the best books I have read in a long time. I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
