Un libro autobiografico, in cui si racconta come e perché Paolo Cendon cominciò a interessarsi, nei primi anni ’80 del secolo scorso, dei rapporti fra diritto privato e infermità di mente; come scrisse il libro “Il prezzo della follia” per il Mulino, nel 1984; come organizzò il famoso convegno del 1986 a Trieste “Un altro diritto per il malato di mente”; come redasse, subito dopo, la bozza destinata a fungere da base per l’introduzione in Italia (nel 2004) dell’istituto dell’Amministrazione di sostegno.
