I've read several books written by Carly Winter; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is part of the Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mysteries Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Sam trying to solve the murder of the town doctor dies she becomes the leading suspect. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Prime suspect! Doctor Butte has been doing everything he can to put Sage Advice out of business. He may finally get his wish. Unfortunately, he is dead so he can't enjoy his victory. His feud with Sam was public knowledge so she is the sheriff’s prime suspect. Sam needs to clear her name before she winds up in jail for murder. This is a good mystery. So many suspects. So many twists. I finished it in one day. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

I love cozy mysteries and this one from Carly Winter does not disappoint. Sam is the main character and she does not have a lot of luck! (Thank goodness, otherwise we'd have no books to read ;-)) This is a great book in a great series and I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the genre.
