About the author
Charlotte Zolotow was a distinguished author and editor of children’s books, having presided over her own imprint at HarperCollins in addition to writing more than seventy books. Her picture books Mr. Rabbit and the Lovely Present and William’s Doll have become modern classics.
Wendell Minor has designed more than two thousand book covers and written and/or illustrated more than fifty children’s books, including many in collaboration with Jean Craighead George. Recent titles include Trapped! A Whale’s Rescue, Daylight Starlight Wildlife (Penguin), and Edward Hopper Paints His World (Holt). Wendell lives in Washington, Connecticut.
