About this ebook

“When he robbed the casino, he left with more than money. He took me and stole a night of my life.”

A DARK ROMANCE

Ian Hart stole a night of my life but he took so much more.

His obsession pinned a label on me. His lust put me in an impossible situation. Now I have to choose sides. I have to decide between right and wrong. Only, no matter what choice I make, each comes with dreadful consequences.

There’s only one way this can end—how every tragedy ends.

In this book, Cas is stolen from the only life she has ever known. She never thought that an encounter with a thief of Ian's magnitude would change her entire life forever. Escape is not an option anymore as she is his one weakness that could destroy everything that he has ever built. Ian is ruthless in keeping Cas exactly where he wants her. Some of the things that he has done in this book seem unforgivable. But it does make me curious about what Charmaine Pauls is planning with their story. This book ends with a major cliffhanger. I really need to read the next book now. I cannot wait to find out what happens to Ian and Cas and how their trilogy ends.

I'm not sure my heart is going to survive Cas and Ian's romance. This is the second book in the Beauty in the Stolen trilogy. You must read book one, Stolen Lust first and yes, you best try to prepare for the cliffy at the end of this book( because it is a whopper!) in preparation of the final book, Stolen Love. Also, if you fall in love with Ian and Cas and find yourself intrigued by the mention of Ian's brother and sister, you should check out their stories in the other books in the Diamond Magnate collection. Beauty in the Broken (Damian's) and the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy (Zoe's). All of these stand perfectly on their own but they are all sinfully good and I highly recommend them if you are a fan of dark, twisty, heart wrecking and danger filled reads. These two are giving me all the feels and honestly, I am just ruined mess right now. I am heartbroken, irate and in desperate need of book three to make it all better. LOL It is impossible not to fall for these two as they fall for each other. Ian is not a good guy but he is the perfect bad man hero. We can all agree that what he does is wrong but pair that with his smoking hot good looks, the kindness and care he shows for the things and people he loves, his wounded heart, his intensity and the sweetness that only Cas brings out in him and you have a man that inspires all the swoon. I also love Cas. She is a complex combination of fierce, vulnerable, capable and clever. Life has not always been kind to her but her spunkiness sees her through. When I think of this couple, I can't help but think of a Halsey song that talks about love, the crazy kind and I feel that fits them to a T. Theirs is not a soft and gentle union of hearts and souls. It is a cataclysmic, elemental and sometimes almost brutal collision of souls and hearts that's pure force and fury changes everything it touches. All you can do is stand back, hang on and watch in awe. All thoughts and opinions in this review are freely posted and entirely my own.

Oh my god, that finish I need the rest of this like right this minute my heart is pounding like it’s going to burst from my chest. What a way to leave me hanging I’m speechless the last twenty percent of this the sense of dread I was feeling intensified and built with every word and page read. Oh, Ian surely your not going to blow everything no matter how bad it actually looks you know Cas and as for Ruben I actually hate him with a bloody passion. I’m choosing to believe that Ian didn’t realise what was going down here with Ruben please don’t disappoint me, Ian. Also, how is Cas ever going to forgive or trust Ian ever again and I’m not even thinking of the deeper consequences of all this either burying my head here folks. Ian, you have a hard road ahead of you my love and I hope Cas gives you absolute misery lots of grovelling needed for sure. This second instalment kicks off where we left things previously with Cas drugged kidnapped and now in Ian’s home in Zimbabwe. She actually took things much better than I was expecting it’s actually Ian that seems to be struggling more with letting Cas into the inner workings of his criminal lifestyle under a misguided attempt to protect her. Cas loves the open spaces she’s in her element and soon makes herself a favourite of the locals with her warm and easy attitude. If it wasn’t for Ruben she’d feel completely at ease, but there’s something about him that puts her on edge. And just when she’s feeling like maybe happiness is finally hers for the taking everything starts to implode and man it was intense. Totally loving this series so far, this book has surpassed the previous for me but man my nerves are shot I’m definitely going to be on absolute pins waiting for the final instalment. Totally recommend this you won’t be disappointed. I voluntary reviewed a copy of Stolen Life (Beauty in the Stolen).

About the author

Charmaine loves to write dark and edgy romance that will melt both your e-reader and your heart. She's a mom of two teenagers, an adorable dog, and a dominant cat. Her country of birth is South Africa where many of her stories play off. Her French husband kidnapped her to the south of France where she currently lives with her family. When she's not writing, you'll find her in the kitchen baking cakes or in the gym lifting weights (because ... all those cakes!).
