About this ebook

Discover New York Times bestselling author Cherrie Lynn’s Deadlock, featuring a team of elite military hackers who will do whatever it takes to protect their country and the women who enter their dark and dangerous world.

Ex–Air Force hacker Jace Adams is the best at what he does. There isn’t a system he can’t infiltrate or a country his team can’t topple. But when he finds Lena Morris, the woman he hates most in the world, on his doorstep, the last thing he wants to do is help her. Or is it really Lena?

Lindsey Morris can’t believe her twin sister, Lena, is missing, with only a cryptic text to find the man Lena once betrayed. But as easy as Jace is to look at, getting him to agree to help her find her sister is a lot harder. He refuses to put his team at risk, until they find out the enemy they’re facing may be one they have in common...

As Lindsey and Jace race against the clock to save her sister, their shaky truce begins to morph into a fire they can't control. But their lack of trust might be exactly what gets them killed.

Wow! This novel grabbed me from the very first page and kept me hooked until the very last page. I loved the Jace - he's the perfect brooding and reluctant hero. Lindsey and Lena are interesting characters - I loved the twist that identical twins added to the story. Lindsey is a kind and gentle soul that is dragged into a situation she doesn't understand when her sister, Lena, went missing. When Lindsey starts following the clues Lena left, she encounters Jace and their reluctant partnership begins. What follows is a quickly moving tale that is tightly woven and kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible. Additionally, I loved the romantic energy between Jace and Lindsey. If you enjoy romantic suspense, you will love this book. While it's the first book I've read by this author, it won't be the last. I'm adding her to my must read authors' list and am already looking forward to the next book in the series. (This is a stand alone novel.)

Deadlock is my first book by Cherrie Lynn, but it won't be my last. Ms. Lynn has delivered a well-written book. The characters are fabulous and are my favorite part of the book. Lindsey's twin sister is missing. She has one text from her sister telling her she's in trouble and for her to go to a certain address for help. Jace hated Lena after she got him tossed out of MIT. When Lindsey arrives looking like Lena Jace doesn't believe her and sends her on her way. Jace and Lindsey's story is packed with drama, action, humor, sex and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and hope to read more from Cherrie Lynn soon. Deadlock is book 1 of the Hacker World Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. But there is a really good hook that will make you want to buy the next book in the series in the epilogue. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Slow starter. Story picked up about a fourth of the way in. Intrigue, angst and a little mayhem follow. There is romance buried amongst the anger, blame, mistrust and tribulations. Over the top, but not a bad read.
