È autore di 30 libri, ha creato molti programmi audio e video, ed è apparso su migliaia di programmi televisivi e radiofonici. Dyer ha un dottorato in counseling educativo presso la Wayne State University ed è stato professore associato presso il St. John's University di New York. Il Dr. Wayne Dyer viene affettuosamente chiamato il padre della motivazione dai suoi fan. Nonostante la sua infanzia trascorsa in orfanotrofi e case-famiglia, il Dott.
