Being famous has its primary interventions. I have a feeling that this might be leaning in a direction meant for Mister Christophers' tutorials. I have been seeing emphasis on the releases of the Memphis boys. Now that they are men, and one looks like he schizophrenecally believes he is eminem while having the capabilities to be paired with Nicolas Hogan...regardless of fascination, hardship or attraction. This author seems to have the confidence and capability to handle such tutorials. I believe, when and while flipping through the pages of this book..and being Entertained by it as well...that the ending hurt. Today I am addressing that.

I really like Chris Hardwick and I listened to the audio book version of this which he narrated himself. As far as a self-help book goes, I didn't really feel it was anything eye opening or earth shattering. The first section of the book was probably the most helpful and most inspiring as he uses nerd culture and nerdisms to pump us all up. Everything beyond that felt like going through a Google search of a lot of different self-help ideas and then dumping them all onto the table. Listening to Hardwick narrate the book made it way better for me. I enjoyed the ride while he joked about his own past, self-help ideas, and nerd culture in general. As a self-help book? 2 stars. As a nerdist comedy/auto-biography? 4 stars. So..here we sit in the middle.

I didn't expect a book by a comedian to help me get through tough issues like anxiety and perfectionism, but this book has been has been a big help. Every couple years I listen to it again as a "touch up" and remember my favorite quotes like, "No person ever became interesting by not failing." Chris shows you how to change the way you interact with your brain to make it work for you instead of against you which a lot of us have issues with every day. You deserve happiness. This book can help you realize that and make a plan to get you there.
