While "Shell Game: Beach Read Edition" is an entertaining read, the characters felt a bit one-dimensional. The plot is predictable, and the romance is a bit too rushed. It's a good book to pass the time, but it's not going to stay with you long after you finish it.

Shell Game Sweet and Clean Edition Chris Keniston Luke “Brooklyn” Chapman had already done the SEALS deal, and he was determined that any intel SEALS got from the CIA (bleep bleep bleepity bleep) was as good as it could ever be, not fuzzy, not partially correct, as he had experienced in the past. He was a man of action with a capital A. This R&R gig, as he recovered from his Nth wound though…it was down right %$$SGR&&! Sharla Kramer, experienced ED nurse, did not like seeing Tyler Hawk, Miami PD, escort Nana toward the front door. Ever since Sophia Garibaldi had “retired” to Florida to live with her, it had been one thing after another due in part to her “nimble fingered” Nana. Just a “little misunderstandings” were becoming everyday occurrences. There were not enough hours in a day! Sharla was all about action, but keeping her eye on Nana 24/7, well….just wasn’t her idea of a vacation! How do an ex-Navy SEAL and a harried ED nurse get together you ask? Why on a wild and whacky Caribbean Cruise! Who else could step in at the last minute as replacements! Add to the mix a retired cop, a couple of swindlers, Red Hat Ladies and the high seas just got very choppy. R&R just turned into a suspense thriller! Sharla had lost one cop, would she dare take on a SEAL? Luke was just there to recover and get on with his life, why then did Sharla make his heart sing? To get answers to these and find out Who-Dun-What, you have to read Shell Game! I honestly think this one is one of the best of the whole series!!! I was given an ARC to read, but the Review is all mine and freely given. Cant wait to see what Chris is cooking up next!
