In a Holidaze is absolutely adorable, the perfect story to lift you spirits in these trying times. Groundhog Day with a Christmas twist plus cute characters, what more could you wish for. Every year Mae’s family and their college friends spend Christmas together in a cute cabin in Utah. Only this year might be their last because of the increasing maintenance cost of the cabin. However, events conspire to let Mae relive the holiday over and over again, Groundhog Day style. But what exactly is Mae supposed to learn from each time she relives the holiday. What would truly make her happy!! Isn’t that the question we all ask ourselves at one time or another? Sometimes, it would be really useful to get a do-over. Mae is stuck in a rut from her job to the unrequited love she has for Andrew, so what can she do to improve her life. With each revisit of the holiday Mae learns more about herself and her own happiness by stepping outside her comfort zone. Trying new ways of doing things can often be a reward in itself, not just for Mae but for all the people she shares the holiday with. I loved how all of the puzzle pieces fell into place and how happiness can spread from person to person (cheesy maybe but true).
