I’m a huge Christine Feehan Fan!! I’ve been reading her books for 20 years. That being said I’m not a fan of Sexual Sadism. It’s just not my thing. I really did enjoy the first book better than I did this one. Savage and Seychelle both had to learn to trust each other. There was a lot of push and pull between them. He had to learn to put her first above all else. “Finding a way that allows you to see and love the real me so that you want to stay with me. That’s the dream for me, Seychelle. The real man. The monster and the man.” Much darker than previous books in this series so BE WARNED!! Even with all the kinky quirks I do love this series and look forward to each new installment. Lots of loose ends. Destroyer and Alena so need to end up together. Just Sayin!!

I used to be a huge fan of Christine Feehan's Dark series, but when I took a break from reading a number of years ago for a short bit, I somehow didn't go back to her books after. This is the first of hers that I've read in a while, and the first of the Torpedo Ink books that I've read. Jumping into this one, you have an established couple, Savage and Seychelle, who are going through some issues within their relationship. Seychelle feels that Savage is not treating her as a full partner should - Savage wants her to share everything with him, but doesn't want to unload his own burdens with her. As a result she is also uneasy with his club since she is being expected to help them out but is also being kept out of the loop on information. However, Savage really undergoes a lot to try and find compromise and a way for them to have their relationship really work for both of them. I loved this, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was steamy, spicy and had way more of all of that than I remember her books having before and I loved that. I was definitely able to follow along with this, despite there being references to characters and situations from previous books. I wasn't lost, but it does have me intrigued and wanting to start with this series from the beginning. When I did a closer look into this series, I discovered that this was actually the second book for this couple and the previous release in the series covers their meeting and the start of their relationship. Definitely plan to read that one next. The only thing I would like to have seen was a little bit more of an ownership by some of the club members for lack of trust in Seychelle as a partner for Savage. It would have been nice to have seen an on page closure between a few of the members and her, but other than that I loved everything about this one and highly recommend it!

I felt in this book, Savage was really ruthless, rough and scary to me. The tools he used on Seychelle was painful and she cried alot. I didn't like it. I also didn't like after he used his tools on her, he would have sex with her even when her body was in pain and tears from her eyes running down her face and he would licked them. I was not happy with it and I skipped most of those parts. It had a nice ending. :)
