About this ebook

When a fatal fever nearly wipes out the entire world's population, the survivors of what became known as "the Dying" believe the worst is in the past. Little do they know…

In the aftermath of the Dying, survivor Jessica Monroe searches for sanctuary in a world unlike any she's ever known before. As fear and isolation envelop her, Jessica encounters the sensitive and helpful Jace, who she believes is another survivor. But Jace has a past and secrets of his own that's he not ready to disclose. Soon Jessica realizes that the destruction of humanity might actually be the first step in a larger, more complicated plan -- a plan that may very well involve her. Struggling to discover her role in a terrifying new world where everything has changed, she must decide who she can trust. But is the price for that trust just too high? (The Djinn Wars: Book 1)

So this book was so close to home it was freaky, I live in Albuquerque NM and have a 10 year old dog named Sadie and then we just had Covid pandemic, I'm over here feeling like I'm the freaking character in this book (silly I know) but it made me so much more interested in this story, just so fantastic! Jessica makes such thoughtful decisions and really shows so much empathy and compassion for other living things, and really trys to keep putting her best foot forward and not letting emotions rule her but always using logic first. She is a exactly the type of character in a dystopian nightmare of a world that I really wanted to see. The relationship between her and Jace seems very Ideal as well, he always tries to treat her as an equal even though he very clearly is God teir level powerful being and she is a 24 year old sheltered girl from the southwest. The way they both treat the other with the utmost kindness and care is just bliss. I can't wait to read more books in this series! (:

So so so awesome! I was hooked on the mystery of what's happening and I was not gonna stop reading until I got answers. I read the whole first book in a few hours. Much to my grumbling stomach's irritation. 🤣

thought provoking if it was really real in some aspects, specially when talking about demons and angels or in relation to the book of enoch which was not made part of the Bible or some so called experts would like to stem. Well not to spoil the plot and story, thouhg it not real. The human soul and the spirit or things unseen or unknown does exist. Overall it is adventure.
