About this ebook

When Regina's friends insist on setting her up a "Fantasy Fix" to help her get over her cheating ex, she dreams up some kinky out-of-this-world encounters that they could never possibly bring to life. But the next thing Regina knows, her friends have got her laced into a shiny black corset, tight leather pants, and a sexy pair of stilettos. It's time for some downtown vampire-fantasy fun. . . .

The Vampire Ball in Manhattan's East Village isn't really Dmitri Vidâme's idea of a good time, but as a member of the Council that governs the Others, he has to keep an eye on all the young vamps who prey on the pretenders. After he feasts his dark eyes on fiery Regina at the bar, he knows that he must have her. But for the first time Dmitri meets a woman who is more than a match for his indomitable will. And he may be the fantasy Regina hoped for... until she—and her feisty friends—discover her sexy new lover's bloodsucking secret...

This is not Warrens best work. While it is the very beginning novel to her series, I suggest reading one of her other books first, as they have all been near amazing. This book has a lot of sex- a lot. 250/350 pages is probably pure, very descriptive sex. It is more pornographic than 50 Shades. The conflict is nearly nonexistent and is shown and resolved within a span of 5 pages. The rest is sex, sex, and more sex. Not to mention that Reggies reaction to a mind reading vampire is inaccurate (as inaccurate as a fiction novel can get that is). Her reaction is to marry him once she realized his was a vampire. No problem there! (Sarcasm). The only nice thing about it was to see the beginning of the Others. That is the only satisfaction. Also, its an easy read. I read this in probably 5 hours, tops.

while some of it i didnt really like, the mind control to get home and the turning in the end, the rest was a great read. the steamy scenes were steamy enough to leave you gasping for fresh air. the dom and sub was also nice, more so when it was shown in a healthy way.

Boring plot. Straight erotica, woman takes home vampire (under mind influence) and she becomes sex slave. Ho hum.

About the author

Christine Warren is the bestselling author of The Others series, including Wolf at the Door, Big Bad Wolf, Born to Be Wild, Prince Charming Doesn't Live Here, and Black Magic Woman. Born and raised in coastal New England, she now lives as a transplant in the Pacific Northwest. (She completely bypassed those states in the middle due to her phobia of being landlocked.) When not writing, she enjoys horseback riding, playing with her pets, identifying dogs from photos of their underbellies, and most of all reading things someone else had to agonize over.
