Mountain Survival is the perfect read for the suspense loving dog lover. It is book 3 in the K-9 Search and Rescue series, but as this series is really just a collection of books from various authors featuring search and rescue dogs, they can all be read as standalones. In this story, we meet park ranger Autumn as she's out with her dog Sherlock where they come across Derek, out looking for help for his brother who'd broken his leg as they were out camping. When they set out to help, it seems that they aren't the only ones in the woods and there is much more danger at hand than a broken leg. The action kicks off right from the very beginning and doesn't let off right through the end, making this a fast paced read perfect for anyone who loves action and doesn't have a ton of time for reading. In some ways it did feel like perhaps the romance was a bit rushed and I found myself wishing that there was more time to really see the romance developing more, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I think pet people will especially enjoy the relationship between Autumn and Sherlock even more! Overall, this was an fun read that fans of romantic suspense will enjoy! **I received a complimentary copy of this book for consideration. All thoughts are my own.
