About this ebook

Darby Quinn has a bone to pick with Cinderella. Burned one too many times by ex-boyfriends, Darby has lost all belief in the happily-ever-after that the fairy-tale princess promised her. She's sworn off love, Prince Charmings, and happy endings and she's happy about it. Really. Or at least she was...until she met Jake, her gorgeous neighbor and the manager of her favorite restaurant. But Darby has rules about dating, ones she's culled from her years spent with so-called "princes," and starting something with Jake would break all of them.

Charming, fun, and unwilling to give up on her, Jake doesn't fit any of the profiles Darby has created from her case studies of ex-princes-gone-bad. Finally presented with her own Prince Charming, can Darby take a chance on a happily-ever-after?
Full of wit and sarcastic humor, Cinderella Screwed Me Over by Cindi Madsen proves that sometimes the perfect love, like a perfect pair of shoes, is just within your grasp.

I have no idea how I missed this book but I'm so glad I found it!! Darby has had the *worst* luck with men and has reasoned that Cinderella and all of the other fairy tales have set unrealistic expectations for what a relationship is supposed to be. She has analyzed all of her past loves and decided that she is done with finding happily ever after. When she meets Jake, she compares him to every one she's ever dated, constantly looking for flaws, except that she can't find any. What follows is one of the funniest couples I have ever read. I laughed more during this story than anything else in recent memory. Jake is the definition of perfect. He has the patience of a saint dealing with Darby and all of her hangups about men. There wasn't a gauntlet thrown that he wasn't willing to pick up. Darby has dealt with her fair share of nightmares in relationships and her reluctance was understandable but, if I could have knocked some sense into her, I would have. Jake is just that great!

I really liked this book but I totally got screwed. The book had some missing things like finishing a sentence. It would just cut and not finish what the character was saying. It's a frustrating thing. Over all I enjoyed it.

Whoever has been heartbroken and believed in a happily ever after could relate to this book. Found it loud and funny. It made me look at my ex's differently.
