Like all Ms. Adams books this one is well-planned and well-delivered. I will say that the lead-in to the denouement was a bit disconcerting. It felt incomplete with his lack of apology, then declaration, and her rejection. The attempt to smooth it over was OK but awkward. But none of that was enough to ruin the story. The characters are very relatable, the hero's growth during the book is impressive, and the child both lovable and precocious. Altogether a read I had trouble putting down. IMO you just can't go wrong with a Claire Adams romance.

I would say the first 85% of the book is 5 stars. Then there is the most random flight and extension to the plot which doesnt match the characters personalities. Which results in a rush of a happy ever after ending. Also the year old girl acts more like a 5 year old in my opinion. Overall this is a good old nice easy read for a no stress kinda day

only 27 pages in and will give it a ☆ count when i finish but, I have to say, is there no proof reader for this book? Its a peeve of mine but this is supposed to be an intelligent young woman, in a nonverbal relationship as an escort. On page 27 something is happening where she is touring a museum with a client and feeling " 'drug' around.". Dragged. Dragged around. How you speak or write effects how intelligent you come across. Please have someone proof read your books finished manuscript if you have no time.
