About this ebook

Ava Delaney #1

Ava Delaney calls herself a hybrid - a living, breathing human who happens to have vampire poison running through her veins. The only thing greater than her thirst for human blood is her capacity for guilt. She does her best to avoid the human world, for everyone's sake.

When Ava accidentally enslaves a human while saving him from a vampire, she realises she has to look for help setting him free. Despite her misgivings, she expands her world but finds herself dragged into a possible vampire civil war. With the help of some new friends with ambiguous loyalties, she tries to find a way to keep her human, and herself, alive.

At approx. 45,000 words, Thirst is the first in a 6-book urban fantasy series. Now comes with preview chapters of Taunt (Ava Delaney #2).

Keywords: Free, Freebie, Ava Delaney, urban fantasy, paranormal, Irish fiction, vampires, nephilim, fae, angels

A fun read, engaging characters with reasonable conflicts and not-necessarily expected resolutions. The bad guys come in a variety of flavors as do the good guys. Ava's foibles, and the effects of her Thirst, are well described without distracting. You definitely get the feeling that you're just scratching the surface on the big picture of the supernatural around Ava. Thirst was a nice introduction into Farrell's world, I look forward to finding out where she leads us (and Ava) from here. M

I didn't have as many problems as other people had, Basically it was a good book with a well written story . However I was disappointed with the end. It sort of fizzled out for me. As the end is the part of the experience that makes you want to read the next book, I don't have that feeling. It's a shame that a reader is lost for want of a few more words.

Like some others said the first page of each chapter was missing, there were some gramer problems but the story was strong and a fun easy read.
