The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series

This has become my favorite story and author. I would LOVE to see this made into a movie it is so compelling! While it is a fantasy, the characters are real and believable. There is danger, and mystery and pathos. There are moments where you can't stop reading. and moments that bring tears to your eyes. There is love and moments of true courage. This is definitely in the league of Game of Thrones..

I really enjoyed this entire story. Wren is thrown into this magical world because she can infuse Luck into her confections. There is a murder mystery throughout this entire novel; and Wren is the main suspect. Wren and Lucas the investigator that vouches for her seek to find out the truth and boy does this series get hairy quickly. This series is full of a wonderful and intriguing cast of characters. There are lies at every turn and you're never sure who you can trust. I am really excited to hold the finished product in my hand, the covers on these novels and novella are STUNNING ! I love the political intrigue of this novel. Wren and Lucas are also so cute and you are rooting for them this entire journey. High action, romance, happiness, vengeance, emotional trauma and a cliff hangar for those whom love to binge read and need to know. This series really tests the characters that we meet in the first novel. Claire is one of my favourite authors. She really knows how to create an amazing world as well as fantastic characters. I cried so many times during this reading journey and, I was surprised a lot. I was on the edge of my seat this entire time. So much deception in this world, and Claire is a fantastic writer and world builder, she is a must read author if you have not picked up any of her books you are doing a disservice to your mind. I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone. There is magic, mystery, intrigue, love and incredible writing. I loved everything about this series! I can't wait to re-read
