I bought this book as I really enjoyed her work "the 15 lives of...". Conceptually the story behind this book is very interesting on the current socioeconomic climate, but the writing style and non-chronoligical storyline is a bit too artistic, perhaps poetic even, for me. I didn't enjoy reading it, and only because I wanted to know the full tale I finished the book, admittedly skipping those parts that failed to captivate me. Hopefully I'll have better luck with my next novel from miss North/Webb.

The most annoying book I've ever tried to read. The style of writing feels pretentious and lazy. I want to read to enjoy and despite the concept for the story being good enough for me to purchase this book, the decision to cut between time lines with no clear boundary made me have to read 4 pages before realising I had missed a time jump and then having to go over them again. I really wish another author came up with this idea because the story is a good one, the telling of it made me get really agitated and annoyed that I ever bothered.

First of all I bought the book thinking I will have the chance to read another great Claire's story, but I was wrong. The book, for me, it's was just OK it had nothing to standout from the rest of the books from the same genre. The first half of the book was either too boring either to complicated to understand, the storyline didn't flow as normal as I expected. Starting with the 2nd part the storyline kept getting better and better until the last 2-3 chapters when I started to get lost who's killing who.
