The basis for the epic horror film 'Hellraiser' in its original novella format making it a fast but extremely detailed and artistic read. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes the darkest side of horror fiction.

Never read the book until now and I don't know how I let it slip by. After being a huge fan of the hellraiser series I decided to read it and wasn't disappointed. recommend this to anyone who even has a fleeting interest in it

Buy it. If you like horror, if you don't like horror, if you like gore, if you don't like gore. It's totally worth a read. Hugely inspiring read.

Clive Barker was born in Liverpool in 1952. His earlier books include The Books of Blood, Cabal, and The Hellbound Heart. In addition to his work as a novelist and playwright, he also illustrates, writes, directs and produces for stage and screen. His films include Hellraiser, Hellbound, Nightbreed and Candyman. Clive lives in Beverly Hills, California
