The book of Colossians deals with the age-old heresy: faith in Christ is not sufficient for our salvation. Throughout church history, people have sought to add their own information, and you still come across them today. Some claim that certain experiences are needed to live in the fullness of faith, or that specific disciplines must be maintained to prove authentic Christianity.
