About the author

Abid Hasan, PhD, FHEA, is a lecturer and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) coordinator at the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Deakin University. He completed his PhD in construction management at the University of South Australia (UniSA). Before starting his doctoral studies, he worked in a Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 public sector company. He has also worked in India’s largest construction company. This industry experience helped him gain valuable knowledge and expertise in different aspects of company management. He has also published more than 50 journal papers, book chapters and conference papers. He was the lead editor for the special issue on ‘health and well-being’ in the Construction Innovation journal, and co-authored another book titled Occupational Diseases in the Construction Industry.

Asheem Shrestha, PhD, is a senior lecturer and a course coordinator at the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Deakin University, where he teaches professional practise and construction company management. He received his PhD from the University of Melbourne, and he has published extensively in high ranked construction management journals. Asheem was trained as a civil engineer, and he has several years of experience working in construction projects and consulting. He currently reviews for for top construction and engineering journals.

Kumar Neeraj Jha, PhD is a professor of civil engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He started his career with Larsen and Toubro Ltd. and was instrumental in the successful completion of many construction projects. He has published more than 150 papers in a number of international and national journals and conference proceedings. His four books titled Construction Project Management, Formwork and Scaffold Engineering, Construction Safety Management, and Determinants of Construction Project Success in India are widely accepted as textbooks in different universities. He regularly conducts a number of training programs for practitioners and academics and has been involved in several consultancy and sponsored research projects of national importance.
