This book had me at fake dating, and kept me with everything from Karina's amazing friend group to her relationship with her Dadu to her relatable anxiety coping methods to her adorable romance with Ace. It's just so wonderful to see these kinds of stories with BIPOC at the center of them; I could read a hundred books just like this one, books that continue to center BIPOC with the care and fondness and delight that this one does, and never get tired. I can't wait to see more from this author (hopefully with more chaotic female friendships to come!)

If you love feel good contemporaries about amazing female protagonists that tackle issues like mental health, family dynamics and independence you will adore this! Also there's fake dating so truly what are you waiting for!
