About this eBook

*RIVERDALE meets INCEPTION in this twisty and unique YA coming-of-age romance.*

Quarterback.

Class president.

Burnout.

We all have our identities.

Most of the time, they come from our circumstances. They’re made by others—shoes for us to walk in whether they fit or not.

But what if?

What if we could take off those shoes?

What if we could wear a different pair?

What if those boxes we put ourselves in are better…worse?

And what if, when we do…we’re trapped there for good?

They all call me Cowboy.

She’s the damsel who doesn’t need to be rescued.

And him…he’s the villain.

This is our story. And this is how we want it to be told.

4.5 stars — WHAT THE WHHHAAAAATTTTT???? I…don’t know how I’m going to write this review. That was trippy yo. And I was totally sucked in! I mean, I was reading last night in bed and I *knew* had to go to sleep earlier, and it’s after 11, and it says I have 2 hours and 20 minutes left. But you guys, it wouldn’t have been just those 2+ hours. Because even without finishing it, I sat in bed thinking about it and thinking about it, and the same thing would have happened if I’d pushed on. But seriously, that was some compelling reading. I will let you in on a not-actually-secret secret: I’m not much into psychological thrillers. In fact, if a movie doesn’t spell out all the answers, I grow frustrated and annoyed, because I don’t want to decide for myself…I WANT TO KNOW!!! So, there were some elements of that in this book, and that is the ONLY reason it’s not full 5 stars: because I’m a whiny baby who needs to have things spelled out for me. The characters were FASCINATING. Like, all so well developed and unique. I will admit that I still had questions about them at the end (see previous paragraph), but I LOVED watching them grow and change as the book went on. It was a really interesting look into these set roles we all have in our lives, and what happens when we admit we don’t fit those boxes. I’m not going to really go into anything else, because honestly? I went in cold, and I just don’t think there’s any other way to do this story. It was exactly as twisty and turny as I’d been warned, and I so enjoyed the ride. I would seriously LOVE to see this one on film. I always worry when a book (or anything really) gets super hyped up…like, I always assume I’m going to be the one that it doesn’t work for. Like, I was legit scared to read this book. But it totally lived up to my expectations! *happy dance* I honestly have no idea if it has worldwide appeal, but I bet it hits for a LOT of readers…it just has that suck-in-ability.

5 Stars Review by Lisa Late Night Support Group Up All Night With books This is probably one of the hardest reviews I have ever written. Cowboy Villian Damsel Duel by Ginger Scott is just absolutely amazing!!!. So brilliantly written that I could not focus on anything else till the end. It consumed me with the need to know what's next, what's happening, that doesn't seem right and OMG didn't see that happening. I am not going to recap the story because I don't want to give anything away. From start to finish we are taken on an adventure with all the things happening. I love this part of Ms. Scott synopsis of the story: They all call me Cowboy. She’s the damsel who doesn’t need to be rescued. And him…he’s the villain. This is our story. And this is how we want it to be told. Really? Just from that you know it is going to be a wild ride!! And it is nothing what you think and so much more than what appears. Another thing is that you may not know what is happening, but stick with it all will be revealed in this twisty, romantic, sort of way.
