I don't know how B.J. keeps writing these amazing books but I feel like I've been on a long roller coaster ride after each one and I have to sit and catch my breath after reading it! This one is no exception! I especially love that she has a few other "side stories" with other characters going along with the main characters. Even those are interesting and move the story along! This book was exciting from the get go because we've met both the main characters - Flint and Maggie - before in previous books in the series AND they've already established that they are sweethearts! Their path to love has been a little rocky because Flint's ex-wife, Celeste, has done a lot of things to keep them apart. However, the day Maggie decides to move in with Flint, she is abducted and all eyes are automatically on Celeste. It doesn't help that Celeste mysteriously goes out of town that day also and no one can reach her! So the story begins! Flint, who is the sheriff, is taken off the case because of his relationship with Maggie and he is going crazy, understandably, but that doesn't mean he's doing nothing! I love these characters and am totally invested in the Cahill family! They are a great group of siblings who are there for each other yet speak their mind when needed! Flint changes a lot during this book and I can't wait to see him in the following books. I think he'll be a different kind of sheriff. He broke a lot of rules in this book (regarding the law) and he NEVER broke rules before! We get to witness the strength of Maggie as she goes through this abduction and she learns things about her past that she never knew before. I always think, when I'm reading a book like this, could I be as strong as this character??? In this case, I would hope so!!! Maggie had to be very strong and very brave! Another things I enjoyed was two characters coming back from a previous series of B.J.'s! It was so fun for them to be included in this book! I wont spoil the surprise for readers! I definitely recommend this book! It was fantastic!
