About this eBook

Jasmine Taveras is the reason Sarge Purcell grabbed his six-string and bailed the hell out of New Jersey four years ago. She's the fuel for every song he's ever written-each one laced with bitter, hard-edged, hungry lust. Now, with his hugely successful band on temporary hiatus, Sarge is determined to prove to Jasmine that he's turned into every inch the man she's always needed...

Men are slim pickings for a single factory girl in Hook, New Jersey...until tall, broad-shouldered hotness walks—or rather storms—into Jasmine's life. Sarge's return shouldn't affect her this way. He's her best friend's much younger brother, and the kind of rough, gritty, sexiness Jasmine has no right to taste for herself. Even if he lets her.

But lust is a blinding, insatiable force. And when it crashes, it will take both Sarge and Jasmine down with it...

Each book in the Made in Jersey series is STANDALONE:

I am ashamed to admit that I went into this story determined not to give it a chance. The stereotypical younger man, older woman scenario turned me off. Yet as I began to learn some of the back history of the relationship between Sarge and Jasmine the concept the author was going for came into focus. I mean Ms. Bailey did write a steamy read that is equal parts obsession and repression. I received an ARC of Crashed Out in exchange for an honest review.

I love the twist in this that it is a best girlfriend’s younger brother. Jasmine being seven years older never really saw the boy she babysat as being anything other than her best friend’s little brother but oh, how things have changed. Jasmine never made it out of her hometown after being rejected in the music business so now she works alongside her friend in a factory. Sarge did make it out in a big way he pursued his dream of music and succeeded in a big way. He was lead singer/guitarist in a rock band who happened to be on break before their next big step up in the rock world. Sarge headed home to see his three year old niece he never saw and to finally go after Jasmine and show her that he wasn’t that little brother anymore. I liked the chemistry between Sarge and Jasmine and Sarge finally bringing it to Jasmine’s attention that many of the songs that were hits were about her. She was the women of his dreams and always had been. Now was his chance to show her that he had “grown” in so many ways.

It definitely took me longer to finish this (i usually goble her book within the first couple hour). Not a bad story, just not as engaging compare to her other works.

About the author

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention. She now lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband of seven years and three-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.
