Creation of the Gods, a Chinese literary classic, ranks among great works as The Three Kingdoms, Water Margin and Journey to the West.
It relates the struggles between forces of King Zhou, the despotic last ruler of the Shang dynasty, and Jiang Ziya, the legendary commander and strategist who helped found the Zhou dynasty in the 11th century BC.
The ensuing battles were a spectacular drama featuring enlightened priests, immortals, spirits, demons, kings and generals. Astride exotic animals or soaring on clouds, they duelled with a formidable array of magic weapons that will captivate the reader from beginning to end.
Cartoonist Chan Kok Sing, well loved for his brand of comic animation and humour, has depicted the Chinese masterpiece with a new energy that both educates and entertains. There is no better way to rediscover the saga of the infamous King Zhou and his vixen-concubine, and how they got their just deserts from the army of the virtuous Wen, founder of the Zhou dynasty.

Acerca del autor
Chan Kok Sing is a Malaysian artistborn in 1971.Upon completion of his secondary education in 1990, he took up a course in pure art at the College of Art, Kuala Lumpur, and graduated in 1995. Since then, he has works published in various newspapers in Malaysia.
