About this eBook

A shallow Latvian gymnast. An ex-military single mom. A journey that alters much more than their passports.

My friend Larissa asks me to accompany her to Latvia because of a family emergency. This happens literally the day after Brent leaves me and Henry to fend for ourselves. Brent promised he’d never go back to Afghanistan, where we met and conceived Henry, but evidently, he’s not a man of his word.

I’m on Russian soil, alone, while Larissa takes care of wedding business. Call me crazy, but the first place I think of to go, the only place where people speak English, is a gym. Aleks puts me off immediately, with his pushy sales tactics and his imposing stature, but a call from home changes all that.

***

I still cannot pronounce her name, but this former military lady has taken the sting off my last disastrous relationship. There is instant electricity between us, but I must ignore it, because I know that she has a son and a past, as do I. But after one day with her, my life has changed, and there is no denying that.

Her leaving to go back home tears my heart in two, and as she drifts apart from me, I get a sinking feeling that she has a secret. Something from her past haunts her, and yet something in her future continues to remind her that our story is not finished yet.

What is a man on the other side of the planet to do? I will find a way for us to be together, but will Mallorie still be there when I do?

This touching story draws you in and keeps you engrossed until the last page. Aleks and Mallorie's lives mirror each other in the fact that their ex's string them along and then drops them when something else comes their way. When Brent tells Mallorie that he is going back into the military, she is angry with herself for following along with his plans when he wasn't committed. Her life changes with a phone call to go to Russia. She meets Aleks and their journey begins. Will it end with a happily ever after for them? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Meet your next book boyfriend.

Love stories that could actually happen. No cliffhanger endings. No-nonsense HEA.

About the Author

Dreaming of being a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Sandra has been writing poems and short stories since middle school, and writing full length, self-published novels since 2010 using several pen names.

Writing full-length, passionate, first person present tense steamy romances has quickly become a love for this author. Her stories have elements of humor, family issues, suspense and personal growth. Her books take the reader right into the bedroom with the characters to feel the same intensity as the lovers in the story. Sandra's goal is to have the reader rooting for the main couple...and she doesn't disappoint.

All her novels have happily ever after endings with no cliffhangers, and all her books can be read in any order.

When Sandra isn't writing she's working full-time for a well-known charitable organization. You'll also find Sandra working out weekday mornings at ungodly hours. She's gluten and dairy free, and is probably the only person on earth who doesn't do coffee or chocolate.

Her favorite movie is Bohemian Rhapsody, her favorite tv shows are Friends and The Connors. She's also a die-hard Rocky fan and has read the Fifty Shades trilogy and watched the movies more times than she cares to admit.

Sandra is married with two daughters and is a lover of all things four-legged, including her own two furbabies.

The Ford Brothers series focuses on five swoon-worthy brothers who each served in the military, and lost their billionaire father suddenly, which left them to run his airline after his death. Each book features one brother, but they make appearances in all five novels.

In case you haven't guessed, the titles in the Ford Brothers series have been inspired by hazard warning signs, an idea the author came up with after completing a health and safety course prior to starting the series.
