it's an OK series, some redundancy though. like the "head tilting"... so and so tilted their head slightly and looked at other people- what is wrong with these people to constantly need to tilt their heads when they look at someone. lmfao- it's just weird and odd... but it's fun because I made a drinking game out if it! everytime a person tilts their head to the side, like a dog, I drink!!! can't read for long without a buzz, which is relaxing I suppose- which makes this book series a relaxing read.

Out of the three books so far, this is my least favorite but it's still an amazing read filled with everything you expect from the series! It just seemed like more of an in between book rather than something that stands on its own.

Finally got around to starting this series, am a Dresden Files fan and own them all. This was was huge fun and left me feeling better as most of his books do. I can't imagine anyone reading this and not liking it. I'm going to buy the rest of them now. Keep up the great work Jim and never let them rush you. They are worth waiting for, lol

About the author

A martial arts enthusiast whose résumé includes a long list of skills rendered obsolete at least two hundred years ago, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jim Butcher turned to writing as a career because anything else probably would have driven him insane. He lives mostly inside his own head so that he can write down the conversation of his imaginary friends, but his head can generally be found in Independence, Missouri. Jim is the author of the Dresden Files, the Codex Alera novels, and the Cinder Spires series, which began with The Aeronaut’s Windlass.
