About the author

Cynthia Mascott began her love for travel writing when she was 10 years old. Her family lived in Rome, Italy for a year and they spent a lot of time exploring Western Europe. Her parents gave her a journal to chronicle their travels. When Cynthia lived in Massachusetts, she became entranced by all things New England. Her first book, Enchanted Summer: The Romantic Guide to Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha¿s Vineyard was published in 1998. She also wrote extensively for The Martha¿s Vineyard Times, The Beacon Hills Times and the Cape Cod Magazine. Ms. Mascott is also a health writer. Her book, The Therapeutic Recreation Stress Management Primer was published by Venture Publishing in 2004. She has also had several articles appear in the magazine Diabetes Self Management.
