About the author

Cyril Taylor founded the American Institute for Foreign Study, one of the world's largest educational travel organisations and pioneered academies through the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. He was special adviser to ten British Conservative and Labour education secretaries. He has written articles on educational and youth policy for almost all of the national newspapers including The Daily Mail and The Guardian and his other books include A Good School for Every Child: How to Improve Our Schools. An avid gardener, he divides his time between London and New York.
