Professor Helen Roy, MBE, is principal scientist and ecologist at the NERC's Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, co-organiser of the UK Ladybird Survey, and former President of the Royal Entomological Society.
The Royal Entomological Society (RES) is devoted to the development of insect science and increasing public understanding of entomology. The RES are actively building their profile with a recent, bold rebrand, a garden designed by Tom Massey at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and successful campaigns such as Insect Week (reaching 40,000 people) and the Big Bang Fair (up to 80,000). They also have strong links with the National Trust and Natural History Museum.
