LOVED this book! Carly is a former fashion model that tries to rescue a crying dog and ends up rescuing the dog and an unconscious man. She later learns that the man is an arson investigator that attempted suicide....except Carly doesn't believe it and the man (Noah) denies it. The two of them have an intense connection that practically ignites the pages of the novel. As an arson investigator, Noah has a K-9 dog that can detect explosives. The dog really comes to life in the book and even has his own back story. One of the things I particularly like about this author's books is the integral role that dogs play in them. Each book gives insight into a different way that dogs can assist and/or enrich our lives. This is a fast paces romantic suspense that fans of the genre will love. While it is part of a series, it is a stand alone novel, however, it is so good that you really owe to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.
