Very strong characters that despite the fiery exchanges, time, patience and the ultimate faith and strength of Ander’s convictions, will bring about trust. There are also moments of sadness and hostility. So beautifully written. If you love page-turning mayhem, with a romance that just needed the right time and circumstances to happen, and the added intrigue of secrets exposed - Dale Mayer delivers with ANDER’S ANGEL. When trouble and suspicion start to rise and the intent to harm escalates - it will be up to Ander’s and his team to come through and keep Angela safe.music A recommended reading for those that love military based heroes, their suspenseful drama, and the intricacies of beginnings and endings. This can definitely be read as a stand-alone​ book but with any good series, there are recurring characters from previous books. If you haven’t already… you may want to start your journey at the beginning of the HEROES FOR HIRE series, for a more in-depth​ understanding of the character dynamics and a full appreciation of this entire series.

Just when I think “how many more good stories can Dale Mayer write,” she blows me away with this one. Anders met Angel a year ago, and it was like a jolt of lightning. Learning from her that she was engaged, albeit to a womanizing fiancé, Anders activated his “never take another man’s woman” honor code and walked away, but he couldn’t forget her. When assigned to a job involving rescuing England’s Prime Minister’s glaciologist daughter from a mountain in Switzerland, Anders planned to look Angel up when the job was over to see whether she was still on that side of the world, had married, and was ok or not. Turns out that his target for rescue and protection was Angelica, the Angel he knew. From the get-go, sparks fly between the two, and the action never stops. Angelica closed herself off to romance after seeing firsthand what Anders had seen in her cheating fiancé a year ago, but Anders is working hard to win her love. However, there is something a little off about this assignment, and Anders is determined to figure out just what is really going on. There’s something Angel isn’t telling them, and it appears that the Prime Minister may not have given Levi full disclosure either. It’s exciting right to the very end. You’re going to love this one!

This book had everything that I liked in a Dale Mayer book. Anders a member of the Legendary Security team is assigned to go to Switzerland to retrieve Angelica and take her to her father’s home for her safety. To do this, Anders and his team had to use the skills they learned in special ops to protect Angelica and her team of glaciologists. This book had everything that I expect in a Heroes for Hire book danger, action, and romance. If that wasn’t enough, I loved the final twist at the end. Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. I finished it in one sitting and even read it a second time. I was a little disappointed in Dale Maye’s previous book, but she more than made up for it, this book was great! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
