This is book 3 in The Mavericks series and it features Jax and Abby. She’s supposed to be on vacation but someone unwelcome from her past has other plans for her. Jax is sent to rescue a famous doctor on a cruise ship because she’s been targeted for abduction. He finds the doctor and she is beautiful! Abby is a no-nonsense, down to earth woman, who in the middle of all the chaos, finds Jax VERY sexy. The flirtation and banter are super cute. I love how they didn’t jump into bed right away but let it build. This story has tons of action with amazing characters. I love how the epilogue sets you up for the next book.

I loved how stubborn Abby is and passionate about her work so she makes the perfect match for Jax. A wicked web of deceit, lies and surprises is crafted as Jax tries to work out who is really behind the attack on the boat and on Abby, while she uses her skills to help save someone. I love how the stories flow through to the next so you get to see whats happening to the other couples and get a taste of whats to come! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jax is sent to rescue a doctor, Abigail, who's aboard a cruise ship that's been taken over by pirates. Jax is helped by Beau. Together they secretly sneak aboard and deal with the pirates while rescuing a feisty Abigail. Now the three are transported to a hospital in England where a sick child needs her expertise. Why is this child sick? Who sent pirates? How did anyone know where Abigail was? Questions questions. Who's guilty? Why? Full of twists, turns and danger.
