About this ebook

Finding out that an old friend was kidnapped, tortured, then deep-sixed in the harbor, complete with cement boots—and survived—sends Steven rushing to California to help. Also Opal and her mother had appealed to Levi to find Steven and to send him to help, if possible.

Opal has been through the worst possible scenario, but it’s not over, as her kidnapers were looking for something she didn’t have. She’d been to hell and back for a couple years already and had hoped the worst was over. How wrong could she be? And it wouldn’t ever end, unless she found what these men were looking for or stopped them altogether.

With her in hiding, and Steven now back in her life, she’s finally hopeful she might survive. Until things take an ugly turn, … and having a future is no longer a guarantee.

I really enjoyed reading Steve's Solace . This is book 29 in the Heroes for Hire series it's as fantastic as the others in the series . Steve is mission is to go to Northern California near Fort Bragg . A woman washed up on the shore after being abducted and dropped overboard to drown . Her family wants Levi and Ice's people to investigate . It just happens Steve knows her very well as they are old friends . Steve with Reyes as his backup head out to get answers and protect Opal . Once they arrive they find themselves in the middle of danger and they're not sure who they can trust . Steve will do whatever it takes to protect and save the woman he wants forever with . I highly recommend taking the time to read . I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Steven is thinking about joining Levi's team when a call thru Levi takes him back to a small town in northern California where a friend of his (Steven's) has been attacked, beaten, strangled and thrown overboard with cement attached to her shoes. She is miraculously rescued and so the story begins. Creepy, mysterious, charming and a very interesting read as always from this author. Love and honor thrown in for good measure so it's a book I'll read again!. I received a free copy of this book

Oh I really enjoyed this one. A romantic suspense read with second chance romance trope and family drama. It's easy-to-read, sweet, engaging and entertaining. I can feel the romance frome the get go, this book definitely heavy on the romance part. The mystery behind the attack of Hero's love interest is pretty solid, even though I guessed it correctly, even though I wished it won't go to that kind of directions, but still it's a good mystery.

About the author

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you’ll want to cuddle close. She’s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her – and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres! And that’s okay too. There is one guarantee with each book – it will be a great read – each and every time.
