Dale does it again....she leaves us hanging, sitting on the edge of our seats and holding on for dear life. We can finally see the light at the end of the long, dark, scary, tunnel, but oh does she take us on a ride to get there. Things are starting to finally look up for almost everyone, but of course others are still in peril. This book gets your mind guessing, your pulse racing, and body tingling and antsy as to what in the world can happen next! It had been a while since I had read book 8 in the series, so it took me a bit to get back into the story with all the characters and what was happening to them. This is written as a multi pov (and I do mean multi) About half of the characters pov is provided since so many things are going on at the same time in different locations. OH! And speaking of series, these books must be read in order and can not be read as a stand alone. Don't even try to jump in the middle of the series. You must read in order to get the full understanding of this story and the characters. But that's okay, you'll love it anyway :) Great story line, awesome characters, descriptions to details were done nicely and the dialogue was easy to follow. All in all, Dale does it again! Would I recommend this book? Yes Would I read more from this author? Yes Sassy Beta Reading & Review

I loved this book, I really got into ALL the books. There was 1 major problem, I wanted to know WHO IT WAS, THE NAME OF THE PERSON BEHIND IT ALL. It ended a lil'too soon for me,but then again I didn't want it to end,so who's to say when enough is enough? Atleast who the boss was!! Great Series,I'd read it again! Dale, you're steadily becoming my #1 author. If you have another issue on the way,you sure have ALOT of people chompin'at the bit! Me included. I've gotta read more!!!

I just can't seem to get enough of the Family Blood Ties series, and somehow each book manages to get even better than the book before! This book picks up where Vampire in Crisis left off, and the action starts immediately. There are quite a few crazy intense scenes, where I didn't know who was going to come out on top. A phenomenal read, that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an angsty, can't put down paranormal book

About the author

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you’ll want to cuddle close. She’s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her – and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres! And that’s okay too. There is one guarantee with each book – it will be a great read – each and every time.
