face reality and move on from the past TJ is a NHL hotshot and womaniser, who has enjoyed the fruits of his job. Things have now become stale with him and he is secretly looking for more. He is scarred by his high school girlfriend's behaviour years ago and drifting from his recent ex girlfriend last year. Max works for the team, is shy and the girl gave TJ her number after he asked, then he never contacted her. The girl with a strict upbringing, lost her parents and boyfriend in a car accident and carries a ton of secrets, doubt and grief, yet lives in her own purgatory because she refuses to get help. An odd couple and TJ is the better of them, being kind and understanding. She pushes the sympathy button but is destructive by ignoring the effects her repressed behaviours have on her and others, so at times it becomes weary. The story and characters are well written and this is a worthy addition to this interesting series

Two people with heartaches over things in their pasts slowly start to heal and to take another chance at love together. After a bumpy start and some meddling from friends and family our two lovers finally get it right. Our bad boy TJ turns over a new leaf with the help of Maxine and learns that he is good enough. TJ helps Maxine to make peace with her past and she learns that she deserves to be loved.
