I own this in paperback and have read it countless times. It's a beautiful work. Matt presents quotes and ideas which illustrate Kabbalah's most important philosophies. Masters like Rabbi Shimon bar Yohai, The Ari, Maimonides, and of course Sefer ha-Zohar are quoted, as well as Christian mystics like Meister Eckhart. The passages are translated wonderfully and organized by categories. The back index is not only helpful but an interesting read in itself. This is perfect for those new to Kabbalah or any mysticism or if you feel a lack in your faith, like something is missing, this will strengthen and enlighten the soul.
