Not a strong conclusion. Too much going on. Not enough explanation of the dream world and how it worked or her significance. Not enough background to connect characters together from beginning to end

After 27 books in a series, I was expecting this series to get old, tired, and boring. But Ms. Feehan somehow manages to make every book something new and exciting. This book continues on with the story of the Ancients, who were introduced at the end of Dark Promise. Their story arc is wonderfully written, bringing humor and a heartwarming sense of a child-like innocence to an otherwise rough and brooding group of warriors. Emeline and Dragomir are the main characters of this particular line in the story, and their story arc is beautiful. Their chemistry is incredible, and every interaction between the two of them is so sweet and tender in the sense that it makes your heart squeeze. They have been one of my favorite couples thus far in the series, and I couldn’t put this book down. Ms. Feehan, you are an incredibly gifted individual. Your ability to tell a heartfelt story is amazing, and I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us next. ***I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own***
