This debut novel had me on the edge of my set the whole time, trying to figure out who was behind all the carnage. Unfortunately drugs crossing international borders is not something new, but the author has done a fabulous job of taking us behind the scenes to follow the law enforcement officers that are trying to quell the tide of contraband. With yet another new illegal drug on the market, more people are dying from an overdose. They need to cut the pipeline! Kaylin Poirier is a Border Control Officer at the Windsor-Detroit border. Trained to spot inconsistencies, stopping vehicles is nothing extraordinary. This time, however, it leads to the need for a joint task force with the OPP - the Ontario Provincial Police. Working with another agency can be difficult, especially when Kaylin has worked with one of them before. The action never stops, with shots fired, apartments broken into and ransacked, vehicles exploding, repeated threats and even a kidnapping. Will the new partners be able to set aside their distrust of each other and work together to accomplish the mission? This incredible story was published by Love Inspired Suspense.
